Cream Pan is a neighborhood bakery at 602 El Camino Real in Tustin that draws in morning crowds looking for freshly baked pastries and more substantial Japanese-inspired light meals. Its mix of breads, pastries, and savory options like Chicken Katsu Curry and Spam Musubi offers a casual spot to grab breakfast or lunch with a local twist.

The moment you step inside, the warm scent of freshly baked bread fills the air, setting a relaxed tone that carries through the compact but efficiently arranged shop. Locals often come here after morning runs or before heading to work, savoring items like the buttery croissants—especially the strawberry cream and almond varieties—or hearty breads like raisin toast. People appreciate that the pastries maintain a soft, fresh texture without being overly sweet, making them good for a quick treat or a light meal on the go.

Beyond pastries, Cream Pan’s menu includes savory offerings influenced by Japanese flavors—katsu sandwiches, sushi rolls like spicy tuna and California roll, and rice dishes with curry—that stand out for lunchtime visitors wanting something a bit different but unpretentious. This blend of bakery goods and modestly priced Japanese bento-style meals makes it a convenient stop for those looking to switch between a sweet breakfast and a satisfying midday bite.

The bakery is busiest on weekend mornings when lines sometimes stretch outside due to its local popularity, but the staff works efficiently enough to keep wait times reasonable. Ample parking nearby and an outdoor patio area add to its appeal for those who want to enjoy their food in a sunny, casual setting.

Cream Pan is best for people who appreciate well-crafted pastries paired with friendly, quick service in a straightforward, inviting space. It attracts a mix of early risers, families picking up treats, and office workers grabbing lunch. Visiting during weekday mornings or early afternoons generally offers a quieter experience and better seating availability.

A Must-Visit Bakery Gem — Consistent, Fresh & Always Delicious! After my morning run today, I decided to stop by Cream Pan, one of my all-time favorite bakeries. I’ve been here several times, and I can confidently say I’ve never had a bad experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most amazing aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The staff is always warm and friendly, and the display cases are filled with everything from sushi rolls and sandwiches to pastries, cakes, and desserts it’s impossible not to find something tempting. I first discovered Cream Pan thanks to my brother when we were in California for my wedding. He stopped by to grab some snacks, and that’s where my love for this place began. We picked up the crispy chicken sandwich, the turkey avocado sandwich, the strawberry and cream sandwich, and of course, the famous olive bread with dipping olive oil and wow, that olive bread is what won me over! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Since then, I’ve been back several times, and the consistency has been impressive. My favorite item is definitely the turkey avocado sandwich, followed closely by the crispy chicken sandwich. There was one time my olive bread came out slightly burnt, but every visit after that has been perfect they really do pay attention to quality. Today marked my fourth visit, though I arrived a bit late in the afternoon, so many items were already sold out (a good sign of how popular this place is!). They were out of the turkey avocado sandwich, but one of the sweetest employees recommended their egg sandwich, saying it’s a customer favorite. I also decided to finally try their famous strawberry croissant with custard. Both were incredible. The egg sandwich was light, creamy, and super fresh one side had tomato, the other cucumber, giving it the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The strawberry croissant was pure heaven flaky pastry, smooth custard that wasn’t overly sweet, and fresh strawberries dusted with powdered sugar on top. Everything about it was perfect. My mom also loves Cream Pan every time I fly back home to Miami, she makes sure I bring her the olive bread. It’s become our little family tradition now. Overall, Cream Pan is a solid 10/10. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It’s one of those rare bakeries that truly lives up to its reputation. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Delicious pastry with very reasonable price. Lots of other options such as sandos and sushi. This is a hidden gem. My favorite is the raisin toast.

Cream Pan Bakery is the kind of breakfast spot that turns a simple morning into a small celebration. I stopped by for breakfast, and wow… this place delivers. The pastries are fresh, soft, and loaded with flavor. You can tell everything is baked with real skill and care. The bread has that perfect balance of light and buttery, the kind that makes you take a second bite before you even realize it. I also grabbed one of their fresh squeezed juices, and it hit like sunshine in a bottle. Bright, clean, and refreshing. It was the perfect match with the pastries and set the tone for the whole morning. If you’re looking for a breakfast that actually starts your day right, Cream Pan is absolutely worth the stop. Quality, flavor, and that little spark of joy only real bakeries know how to make. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here for many years. The Boston donut is incredible! Lots of things are. The Apple croissant is surprisingly amazing. They are known for their strawberry cream croissant. Prices are also super reasonable and so the line in the mornings even years later is often out the door, though it moves fast. Sometimes I can just breeze right in and out. Although I give the place an overall close to 5, I must disclose the butter croissant (pictured) is not a 5. The flavor is actually quite good and better than most, even ones I rate higher. But the sound and crunch are not there, so I can only give it a 3.5, sadly. It is consistent throughout the day somehow, whether 8am or 1:30pm (both pictured), so it has that going for it, but I grade tough so I think most people will be happy.

Cream Pan Bakery in Tustin offers an impressive selection of fresh bakery items and light meals. Their menu includes a range of sandwiches such as katsu, along with sushi rolls and other Japanese-inspired dishes. Service is consistently quick, prices are reasonable, and the outdoor patio adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Ample parking makes it convenient, though weekend lines can be quite long — a testament to their popularity.

We drove by and had to stop as we saw a line outside. Cute Japanese style bakery with delicious egg salad sandwiches, chicken Katsu, strawberry croissants and coffee. Their bakery offering looked outstanding so we got a few different items all were great! Noticed that the chicken had MSG in it but otherwise their baked goods have no preservatives
